The Relief by Amurt (Kolkata) continues in Ragad district of Maharastra to provide relief to the flood affected areas and we have now reached distant and remote villages in the area.

 We have so far distributed 1.5 TonnePoha (beaten rice)  Gur (Molasses)1.0 Tonne Rice, 0.5 Tonne Sugar 300 Kg. 1000 Ltr. Mineral Water, Preventive Medicines to 200 families, Clothes to 100 families and essential commodities to the flood victims at Mirchigally, Sainagar, Baithi Chawl, Panchsil Nagar, Azad Nagar, Kalamboli in Panvel Tahsil of Raigad Dist.   

 The Amurt - Kolkata also distributed 1200 Stainless Steel Glasses, 1000 S. Steel bowls, 400 S. Steel Plates, 500 Saris – Dhotis, 1000 Garments for Children, (all new clothes) and dry food items like Rice,beaten rice, Sugar, Gur etc. at Harigram, Devat, Katkarwadi, Chota Khanda, Mota Khanda, Sector 4, 5, 6 and Asur Gaon in Panvel Tahsil of Raigad Dist, Kopari & Belapur Gaon in Thane Dist.

The State Govt. has provided Vehicles to Amurt for relief work.  The team is led by Acharya Ciragatananda Avadhuta, Dr. Yogendra Pathak, Dr. Prabhakar Sandu and Shri Jairam Padhye. 

Ac. Divyacetananda Avadhuta played a major role in media coverage and also in getting relief materials.

The Team has also set up medical camps to combat epidemic and endemic diseases. 

The news of this relief work is widely covered by print and audio-visual media. There are 25 newspapers in the area and almost all have printed news of our relief work with photographs.
