ANANDA MARGA UNIVERSAL RELIEF TEAM (AMURT) SERVES THE FLOOD AFFECTED PEOPLE OF MARIGAON, LAKHIMPUR & BARPETA OF ASSAM.
AMURT volunteers led by Sannyasiis (monk and nuns) has been serving dry food, Beaten Rice, Gur (Molasses) biscuits, candles, match boxes etc to the flood affected people at Khayerhachi, East & West Peterburi, Ashighar, Manaya, Bhurgaon, Jhargaon villages of Mayang block of Marigaon district , Laluk & Dhemaji of lakhimpur district and Barpeta of Assam since 4th of August.The team is also distributing milk to the flood affected children in those villages.Local Government has provided motor boats to AMURT volunteers to carry on the relief work in those distant villages.
AMURT has simultaneously started medical camps at Mayang, Laluk and Barpeta to fight water bourne diseases and epidemic in the flood affected areas.

AMURT RELEIF IN FLOOD AFFECTED DISTRICTS OF WEST BENGAL
Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT) undertook relief operation in the flood affected districts – Birbhum, South 24 Parganas, Howrah and Murshidabad of West Bengal. The Team comprising 50 Volunteers and 17 Monks and Nuns has been distributing Cooked and dry food, Biscuits, Baby Food, Cloths and Water purifying liquid and tablets and Medicines to more than 5000 flood affected people everyday.

AMURT MEDICAL CAMP FOR FLOOD AFFECTED PEOPLE OF KENDRAPARA ORISSA.
Medical Camps with 3 doctors was organized at Mahakalpur, Garadpur blocks of Kendrapara.
More than 3000 flood affected people were treated in those medical camps.
Patients were mostly of water bourne diseases like stomach, skin diseases due to contaminated water.
Medicines worth 15,000 rupees were purchaged and more than 10,000 rupees worth of medicines came from the donations.
AMURT VOLUNTEERS STARTED EMMERGENCY FLOOD RELIEF OPERATION IN THE DISTRICTS OF SOUTH 24 PARGANAS, BIRBHUM, MURSHIDABAD AND HOWRAH OF WEST BENGAL AMONGST THE FLOOD AFFECTED PEOPLE.

Several coastal districts of Orissa got severely affected by recent flood.
Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT), Kolkata undertook relief operation in the flood affected Garadpur, Marsaghai and Mahakalpara blocks of Kendrapara district of Orissa.

AN APPEAL FROM A VOLUNTEER OF AMURTEL WHOSE SCHOOL GOT BADLY DAMAGED BY TSUNAMI

Namaskar.
We hope that by the benign grace of the Beloved Lord you are well in health and spirit.
I am a nun of Ananda Marga posted in Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the last 8 years. I live in Chouldhari, a small town with 2,000 houses far way in the South Andaman Islands, and am running a school with 62 children. The place where we live is in the seismic zone and was the worst affected area of the Tsunami. A large number of people were swept away, and there was massive destruction of houses, causing intense misery to the survivors.
