a renowned Anthropologist praised overwhelmly the relief work of Ananda Marga in Tsunami devastated areas

Dr. Pashupati Prasad Mahato, a renowned Anthropologist praised overwhelmly the relief work of Ananda Marga in Tsunami devastated areas of Cuddalore (Tamilnadu) and Andaman and Nicobar Islands in his speech from ‘MONTMARTHE’ auditorium on 6th of February at 30th Calcutta Book Fair.

Dr. Mahato said that he personally visited the various spots of the devastated areas of Tamilnadu and witnessed the relief works which Ananda Marga Sannyasiis and their volunteers are doing. One cannot believe the dedication and sacrifice of Ananda Marga monks, nuns and volunteers without seeing their work with one’s own eyes.

He expressed his astonishment over the dispute between State of Tamilnadu and the Government of India over the issue of distribution of relief materials when there is a National disaster. At the same time the representatives of Ananda Marga have been working continuously round the clock with their limited resources. It is only possible by the grace of Almighty God, he said.

Ananda Marga volunteers are working without any pause in the remote Islands of Andaman and Nicobar where Government and even the non-government agencies are scared to go.

Dr. Mahato showed the newspaper coverage and photos of service activities of Ananda Marga to the news media and the audiences. On seeing the photos and the news paper coverage people present there became very much enthusiastic to know more about Ananda Marga.

Dr. Mahato later visited Ananda Marga Book Stall at the Kokata International Book Fair and appealed to the visitors present to buy books and know more about Ananda Marga. As a result many people expressed their desire to know about Ananda Marga Ideology.
